Ally says thank you! This a great workout guideline! 💪

I miss all of you so much!!
I have never been away from the gym for this long in all my life!
We are following the guidelines that are suggested for the school districts. At this time, I will have to remain closed until given safe guidelines for resuming classes.
I have considered tutorials and short workouts on line, but I haven't found the best way to do that.
I can't wait to see you all again!
Be safe
Love, Mrs. Diane

Regarding COVID-19
March 16, 2020
Dear Families and students of Gymnastics by Diane;
I hope you all are enjoying your snow day! I am so very thankful for all of you and your darling children! My wish is for all to muddle through this time of uncertainty. I am reluctant to close, but I believe it is best to follow the guidelines given in response to COVID-19:

Gymnastics by Diane will be closed Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29th.

For now, we are planning to re-open Monday, March 30th.

In order to make up for these two weeks out, the gym will be OPEN during our originally scheduled spring break week; April 13-17, And we will have make up classes at various scheduled times on a sign-up basis during the last two weeks of April.

In the event that we have to close longer than these two weeks, there will be more information on Facebook and the outgoing greeting at 683-8828.

THE PERFORMANCE TEAM WILL HAVE CLASS EACH TUESDAY AT THE REGULAR TIME. This is a very small group, and extreme precautions will be taken to ensure their health and safety.(Tuesday, march 17, may depend on snow)

Upon returning to classes March 30, Gymnastics by Diane will make every effort to keep the gym germ free by sanitizing surfaces on a daily basis, and wiping down all high touch areas between classes. In addition to following the CDC guidelines and recommendations, we ask that students and parents commit to the following:
1. If you feel sick, stay home. If someone in your household is ill, please do not send your child to the gym.
2. Spectators must be kept at a minimum, please. Sometimes, there as many as 35 people passing through the waiting room during transition of classes. Try to keep it at one per student.
3. Anyone who has a fever or has had a fever of 99 or above in the last 24 hours without fever reducing medication, must not come inside the gym.
4. Every student must wash their hands before and after each class.
5. No hugs, high fives, or fist bumps. Air hugs only. Avoid any unnecessary contact.
6. Come ready for class and leave immediately after class. Please take all belongings.
7. No sharing water bottles.
8. Please be sure your emergency contact information is up to date.

Please feel free to message or call me with questions or concerns.

My love to you and your families. I'll miss you, it's strangely different than a vacation! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,
Diane Altimus

About Us

Gymnastics by Diane is a recreational gymnastics school for boys and girls of all ages and all different abilities or disabilities. Your child will start out with the fundamentals of the sport, and progress at an individual pace in a fun and safe environment. Many students have stayed in the program for 10-15 years, and taught alongside me through high school and college. Gymnastics is a sport that rewards the student week after week in many different ways.

After 40 years of teaching, I have seen thousands of children benefit in many ways unique to their own style and personality. It is a joy, as a teacher, to see them grow in strength, agility, and confidence. In the mountain community around Oakhurst, I am privileged to know so many children and their parents who enrich my life greatly!

Gymnastics is the Best!
