Dear Gymnastics families,

I am waiting somewhat impatiently for the GO signal. I am quite ready to see all of your sweet faces. (Students and parents) There will be more information coming in June, as soon as I know anything.

If we open anytime soon, we will use our recital costumes and do a smaller, daily recital of the classes on each day, after a few weeks of practice. After 29 years, it is sad to have a change of plans. This, however, does not change the celebration of the skills your child mastered in the past year. We will do something!

If you are sure you will not be returning before your child has grown out of his or her costume, you may contact me and I will give you your costume to take home at any time.

I hope you are all safe and well. I am heartbroken and disillusioned with the terrible things going on in our great country. I have new concerns for the near future, and Hope for a positive change, SOON!

WE ARE LOVERS OF COMMUNITY, LOVERS OF EACH OTHER! Please be safe and stay close to the ones you love!

Call or contact me anytime. Messenger or phone. Thank you all for being ALWAYS the greatest parents and students we could ask for!

Missing you,
Mrs. DianeImage attachment

TO ALL GYMNASTICS STUDENTS,
I am missing all of you SO MUCH!
The thoughts and ideas have been swimming around in my head for weeks.
Like the local dance company and martial arts studios, I would LOVE to provide online classes, but I am not sure that teaching gymnastics skills online is the best thing to do. I feel very strongly about being hands on in my approach to coaching.
I have posted a warmup routine on YouTube (Gymnastics by Diane) and will do some conditioning there as well, but I dont feel it is possible to teach safely without observing or assisting the gymnast.

Because of that, I dont feel I can provide any services worthy of donation based or tuition based income. This is a tremendous burden, and I will open AS SOON as it is allowed and safe.

I plan to resume classes where we left off and have a recital at the end of the season, whenever that may be.

We have all had our lives disrupted by this craziness! The break is killing me! Longest Ive been away from teaching in 30 years! I cant wait to see you ALL when its over!

Keep stretching and do those conditioning exercises! Practice your skills in a safe place! If you have not liked Gymnastics by Diane on Facebook, please do so, and you will receive all notifications.

Thanks for all your support!

About Us

Gymnastics by Diane is a recreational gymnastics school for boys and girls of all ages and all different abilities or disabilities. Your child will start out with the fundamentals of the sport, and progress at an individual pace in a fun and safe environment. Many students have stayed in the program for 10-15 years, and taught alongside me through high school and college. Gymnastics is a sport that rewards the student week after week in many different ways.

After 40 years of teaching, I have seen thousands of children benefit in many ways unique to their own style and personality. It is a joy, as a teacher, to see them grow in strength, agility, and confidence. In the mountain community around Oakhurst, I am privileged to know so many children and their parents who enrich my life greatly!

Gymnastics is the Best!
